Eyce, the brand has been around for a while and have been serious contenders in the world of silicone creating a multitude of beakers, rigs, pipes and more. All very well designed, colourful, highly functional and with life-time warranties. Eyce creates products for lovers of both flower (buds) and concentrates who appreciate innovation and a little “something different”.
I started with the Eyce Mold 2.0 (a complete ice mold to create frozen fully functional beakers) and now I can present the Eyce Silicone Beaker Water Pipe, both impressing me with their innovative design and functionality. I will admit I was late to come to the party with silicone smoking paraphernalia (I was a glass snob), but I have since completely changed my mind. Not all silicone is created equal though so please be careful when choosing and ensure that you choose the highest (food) grade Platinum Cured Silicone that you can.
TIP: A lifetime warranty is offered by Eyce. If you “break it, tear it or burn it” then they will replace it.
THE BEAKER
The Beaker is a water pipe that resembles many of the other water pipes that I sell with one major point of difference – a full silicone body versus glass. For purity and strength platinum cured silicone is used, which is the type of silicone you want (more on that soon). Eyce likes surprises and they have included a few in the Beaker with some hidden from view including a large hidden container, hidden rolling tray, Stainless Steel Poker, ice catcher and a magnetic ring lighter holder. The borosilicate glass bowl (14mm male) and down stem are both removable and made from very high-quality glass to maintain flavour. The Eyce Beaker is so unique in its futuristic function and design (especially when compared to other water pipes) that it has even been patented.
PLATINUM CURED SILICONE (AKA MEDICAL GRADE SILICONE)
As mentioned prior, not all silicone is created equal and the highest quality available should always be sought. Many of my customers use food grade silicone products (usually accessories for dabbing) but for an actual water pipe I recommend platinum cured over food grade. Why? Platinum cured silicone is more expensive and time consuming to produce but results in a silicone that has superior longevity and high temperature durability. Over time food grade silicone will become brittle and start to breakdown, unlike platinum cured which will not shrink or degrade over usage/time.

HIDDEN SURPRISES
Turn the Beaker upside down to reveal the secret chamber located within. 3 little notches allow you to slip out the (rather spacious) container. A fully enclosed container that opens in half enabling you to store your herbal material within and/or use it as a rolling/prep tray. A stainless-steel stoker/poker sits within the base of the container inside its own little groove. Lastly and possibly my most favourite feature is the magnetic lighter holder ring. A fairly strong magnet located just below the down stem that will hold your lighter in place when not in use. Never lose your lighter again! A simple feature but a good one in my opinion!
GLASS CONE AND DOWNSTEM
Even though Eyce use the highest grade of silicone they can does not mean that they don’t understand that there is no compromise on when glass should be used as opposed to silicone. The cone and down stem provided in this kit are both made of high-grade borosilicate glass. The 14mm cone is on the deep side and is frosted for a nice and tight fit. The down stem is diffused and has 6 slits (3 on each side) for some pretty nice percolation/filtration. Eyce has frosted the top of the down stem too for a perfectly snug fit.
