ALL NEW V2 Flower Mill Premium Edition 2.5" Mill (Stainless Steel 3-piece)

Flower Mill USA makes grinders and only grinders. A small, but impressive range for now. I didn’t need to do much testing before I knew that for sure I would stock them. Really well made and quite solid in the hand. Each part just screams quality. Low effort, high-capacity milling all in one compact body. This is a unique style of grinder with no teeth or blades (more soon) and their patent is pending. 

PREMIUM EDITION V2 - 3 PIECE

**V1 Controversy? The original version was unfortunately pulled from the market and redesigned due to the possibility of metal on metal rub occurring when grinding vigorously. A low friction washer set has been added to the top lid to overcome this issue.
Aesthetics aside let’s delve into the features.

A Premium Grade Mill with minimal threading on the lowest part (requires a ¼ turn to access material within). Hybrid construction is a hallmark of the Premium Edition with both aluminium and stainless steel used. The super solid exterior is made from aircraft grade aluminium whilst the milling chamber (rotor, sleeve, screen and catch) is made from food (304) grade Stainless Steel.

The top lid stays in place via a strong magnet, and I am guessing the rotor is the milling plate attached to the underside of the lid (yep, it is!). A flat plate with grooves running along the length. This innovative plate does not shred your herb but instead progressively crumbles the herb where it naturally would break apart. Results = a lighter and fluffier product. Your herb is then sifted down through the milling screen (course grind) and the best bit? No partially processed herbal product remains for you to pick out of the milling chamber!

TIP: As there are no teeth there is more room, and you can quickly and cleanly mill 3.5g at a time.

The storage chamber is threaded but not as I know threading to be. A ¼ turn is all that is required to completely remove the bottom and the same in reverse to close. It is quite cool. Not just easy to use but also easy to clean as all parts disassemble and the modular design allows you to swap out screens, catches and rings whenever needed.

Lastly, there is a new addition with all Premium Mills from Flower Mill and you will find an include tool to help with cleaning. A green Rotor Key sits within the mill and you use it to dismantle the upper plate. This tool provides extra torque for easy tightening or loosening.
