I have stocked Pulsar for a while now but only their herbal vaporisers. They appear to have been around for quite some time now and house over 1000 different products at their facility in North Carolina. Consummate vapers and smokers, they love to innovate and create products that exceed expectations.
Don’t be fooled by the deceptively simple nature of this product. It may not look like much, but the Pulsar concentrate dish with dab tool holder is the kind of product that you don’t know you need till you use it. Then you will wonder how you survived without it until that point!
Dabbing is a messy business. So much heat mixed with so much mess can lead to a myriad of issues. The number one problem that I encounter is where do I lay down my dab tool between uses, a dab tool that is quite hot and has residual wax on the ends. I have leant it against books, dangled it off tables and placed it onto my rolling tray with a mixture of results (most not good). Now I just use this nifty little dish and tool holder.
Made from heat resistant borosilicate glass with a baked-on Pulsar Logo to let you know that you have the real deal. The dish is round and has a groove built in for leaning your dab tool against. To the side of the dish is the vertically slanted dab tool holder for longer term storage. This is a perfect add-on accessory for dabbing connoisseurs or those who are sick of getting burn marks on their surfaces. I believe I fall into both categories!
To use: Place your wax/concentrate directly into the dish. As needed scoop out a small amount (grain of rice size) and place into your vape/glass rig. Place the dab tool either leaning across the groove of the dish or placed straight into the tool holder. Dab as per usual routine.
To clean: Some pretty intensive cleaning will be required for any products used to dab with. Herbal wax/concentrates may be fun but are also incredibly sticky and very easily build up on any surface they come into contact with. I recommend you set a cleaning schedule and stay on top of it. This will ensure an easy clean that shouldn’t take you long. Isopropyl Alcohol (and cotton ear swabs) will work well to help dissolve built up gunk and resins. Sometimes that just isn’t enough, and I have found that heating the glass for a short period of time (dabbing torch, oven or microwave) will help loosen more stubborn resin allowing you to remove it. Please do not leave unattended whilst heating and it is always better to start on a low heat and check the progress constantly.
