Grav, hands down are the masters of glass, scientific producers of glass if you will. A global reputation that is hard to surpass. Built to last, highly functional and as gorgeous as glass can get. Those in the know only and always use Grav glass. When Grav makes a water pipe/dab rig they know what they are doing. Built strong for a smooth and easy session. Oh, and so they don’t break easily either. Beautiful enough to display anywhere in your home, if that’s how you do things.
ARCLINE SERIES
Grav likes to make groups of products that are based around a central theme, in this case the Grav Arcline Series. This series appears to be all about durable, extra-thick pieces that are crafted to resemble the iconic columns of classic architecture. All glass pieces in this series are designed to be super tough and able to withstand wear and tear.
FEATURES
Grav has really impressed me with this Beaker which is inspired by old Tuscan Columns located in Italy. The Romans used to like to add elaborate columns to their buildings, creating some of the most beautiful architecture and now there is a beaker (and a steamroller pipe) to match. Just like a real column this piece is very durable and is made on 28mm tubing (extra thick tubing).
Within the spacious water chamber, sitting at a 90°angle is the fixed-in-place fission downstem. The Arcline bowl (14mm male) is a work of art in itself which slips in and out effortlessly from its position at the side of the beaker. The narrowed neck leads up to a flattened out and super thickened mouthpiece, exactly like a Tuscan column! Lastly, just like everything else about this Beaker the base is extra thick and extra flat for safe handling and durability.
FISSION DOWN STEM
As previously mentioned, the down stem is fixed and sits at a 90°angle. One end extends out of the Arcline and holds the bowl in place (no frosting, yet so very smooth of a connection) whilst the other end that sits within the water chamber is affixed to the very base. At this base is where you will find the fission holes that work to push and diffuse your smoke through water. Fancy name but fission holes are circular holes around the perimeter of the down stem that allow smoke and water to interact and create magic together. Smoother and cooler rips are the result.
TIP: For optimal results Grav recommends approximately adding 1.5” of water to the chamber.
BOWL
The bowl has been crafted to also resemble an ancient Tuscan column and it really is quite beautiful. This is a bowl that you will have a hard time breaking, no this is not a challenge but a statement of fact! Super reinforced and double collared, this is definitely one of the most unique bowls I sell within my Bondi 420 Lifestyle Store. As with the mouthpiece, the top of the bowl has been flattened out to resemble the top of a column.
This bowl may look like it is on the larger side, but it is actually on the smaller side within. Not what I would call a party bowl, but a great size for solo or more subdued sessions.
TIP: For those of you that like an intense inhale I recommend purchasing a Smojo Screen to narrow the hole within the bowl.
