Grav, hands down are the masters of glass, scientific producers of glass if you will. A global reputation that is hard to surpass. Built to last, highly functional and as gorgeous as glass can get. Those in the know only and always use Grav glass. When Grav makes a water pipe/dab rig they know what they are doing. Built strong for a smooth and easy session. Oh, and so they don’t break easily either. Beautiful enough to display anywhere in your home, if that’s how you do things. FEATURES
Do you remember those long-handled bells that they show in old movies? Well this water pipe reminds me of them, which I guess explains the name. Just as with most bells the bottom of this pipe flares out culminating in a wide base leaving you with quite a large water chamber. Just above the water chamber is a tiered section that works to keep water splashing up and out of the pipe. This pipe measures in from top to bottom at 9” which to us fellow Australians translates to 22.5cms. The tubing is 32mm, making this a pretty sturdy device. As with all their glass Grav has used heat-resistant borosilicate glass to craft this piece.
Within the body of your pipe sits a very interesting down stem. The down stem is fixed in place and ends in a broad orb percolator. The down stem sits at a 90° angle, this style is usually termed “banger hanger” and simply means that you are able to use this water pipe as a dab rig. Banger hanger means that the connection point for your bowl juts out enough for a banger to be used in its stead. Visually the orb percolator/down stem reminds me of the New Years Eve Ball Drop that occurs in New York every year. 5 inlet holes at the base of the orb will diffuse your smoke, effectively filtering and smoothing out the smoke.
Of course, Grav provides one of their high-quality flower bowls for you to use, a 14mm bowl (male) to be precise. A “onie or cup bowl”. The bowl sits to the side of the pipe and links to the downstem at a 90° angle. The base of the bowl is frosted to ensure a nice tight fit and there is a glass maria (collar) for safe handling. This bowl is on the smaller side when compared to others within my store, perfect for those that like smaller hits. Lastly, the mouthpiece portion is thickened and super flat for your comfort and durability.
