It all started with the Wand, the first ever electronic induction heating device for herbal concentrates/extracts. And now Ispire have taken the next step with the Daab, a sleek induction heated handheld dab rig. Basically, an all-in-one electronic and portable device designed for concentrates. Even, clean and repeatable controlled dabs are offered with this revolution in dab rigs.
The magic of this rig is in the unique style of heating (induction) it provides along with the patent pending borosilicate cups. No torch is required with this rig. Ferrous metal within the cups is responsible for transfer of heat and it only activates when you hold down the Fire button or whilst in Auto Heat Mode. There are 3 temperature options to choose from;
- Low: 121°C – 232°C (250°F – 450°F)
- Medium: 233°C – 315°C (451°F – 600°F)
- High: or 316°C – 427°C (601°F – 800°F)
Use the +/- to find the ideal temperature. A dab mat is provided in this kit with easy heating instructions printed upon it.
The entire pathway is durable and heat-resistant borosilicate glass. The water chamber is of medium size and the mouthpiece is extended and bent to avoid splashback. I am really impressed with the Reclaim Cup. Made entirely from glass this removable piece acts like a kind of ash catcher, capturing any spitting oil that you may want to reuse. This feature will also help keep the water chamber cleaner for longer.
TIP: The entire water chamber glass portion attaches magnetically to the Daab device.
The inner cups slot straight into place within the Reclaim Cup, so a cup within a cup set up. 2 inner cups are provided, and spares can be purchased. An interesting directional carb cap is given, long and pointy with a silicone bumper around the middle for easy handling. A silicone bumper is also located around the body of the water chamber and the reclaim cup.
The Daab is battery powered and fully rechargeable. X2 18650 battery are provided (3000mAh each). You can remove these batteries and you can also use the Daab whilst charging (pass through charging). Lastly it is not in the picture, but this device comes packed in a hard-shell case with a foam interior to keep every part safe when not in use or for transport. There are 2 latches and a swivel handle.
