Any followers of my Instagram will know that art (particularly street art) is one of my obsessions. Pair that with my obsession with destigmatising the usage (legal) of medicinal herbs and you will understand my excitement over the K Haring Glass Range.
Keith Haring was (dies 1990, aged 31) an American street artist and a social activist, massively famous in the 1980 for his iconic and vibrant artwork. He began by drawing in New York Subways and sadly was arrested for vandalism on a few occasions. Undeterred he continued on and started tackling some of societies biggest issues of the days via his artwork. AIDS awareness, gay rights and drug usage were some of the causes he believed in quite strongly and he used his artwork to educate. A vibrant visionary who used broad, bold strokes and ground-breaking imagery to spread messages of peace, love, equality, and compassion. Haring united New York City Street culture with pop art to create his own iconic visual language that continues to engage and excite.
CATCHALL
Catchall? An interesting name that covers all bases and requires little explanation. I have it displayed amongst designer storage/ashtrays in store so it can really be anything you want it to be. Haring’s legendary artwork can be viewed upon the interior as well as underneath. And just to make sure you have the real deal; Haring’s signature has been laser etched upon the glass.
TIP: This is the “Snake People” design.
Made entirely from heat-resistant crystal this piece is completely round in shape with quite high (and thick) walls. There are no notches along the perimeter so this probably won’t be the most functional ashtray (if that’s how you choose to use it) but the high walls and heat proof glass will keep your ash where it should be without damage being caused.
As a Catchall I would say that storage is its primary role. As long as it fits within you can store it. K Haring glass is designed for the 420-lifestyle market and this Catchall will easily hold your hot tools, smoking accessories as well as any herbal material. Or conversely use it to store jewellery, keys or anything small enough.
Measuring: Almost 10cms in diameter (a true circle). The walls are 4cms tall and the thickness of the glass is a ½cm (0.5mm).
Each Catchall comes in a Collectors Box, complete with artwork. The box is foam lined to keep things safe for transport.
