How do I describe my excitement when this product arrived? All our staff actually squealed in joy when I did the unboxing and customers in store seem to have the same reaction! No other product within my shop elicits such as response and I always know when a customer has laid eyes upon it by the noises they make. At first glance it looks like a standard (on the larger side) rubber ducky that you may have used during bath time as a child. Or maybe you still use one now, who am I to judge? But this is a deceptive little duck with a fully functioning water pipe cleverly hidden within.
PIECEMAKER
First let’s start with the brand, PieceMaker. Considered to be one of the industry leaders in crafting nearly indestructible silicone smoking solutions (Eyce being the other leading brand of note). They tend to get quite creative with their designs and all products are made with only the finest silicone available. Various patents have been awarded to PieceMaker for their innovation and unique designs and they have a goal of creating pieces that are attractive and functional enough to move people beyond glass as their only option.
TIP: A brand so revered that there are counterfeits aplenty all over the market and PieceMaker actually has a list of sites that they recommend you avoid for that very reason (Alibaba, DHGate, eBay, Wish.com and more). I am a legitimate seller and have no time for anything counterfeit.
LIMITED EDITION KWACK
The Kwack is a limited edition item and will become a collector’s item. This is a toy designed exclusively for adults who dont take themselves too seriously. It is made from BPA Free silicone (the kind you want), is nearly indestructible and really floats! So lets break the Ducky down into its various components,
- The body of the Ducky – An extremely tough exterior and where water is held.
- Head of the Ducky – The oversized pursed duck beak is where you inhale from. The entire head actually removes from the body for water filling or for insanely easy cleaning.
- Rear of the Ducky – Carb hole.
- Down stem – PieceMaker has designed an all new Hex-Tek angled stem that can be completely removed. The base of the stem has holes for diffusion working hard to percolate and smooth out your smoke.
- Mesh bowl – The top of the stem widens to accommodate the removable mesh piece where your herbal material is placed.
- Top Lid – The Kwack comes complete with a lid/cap that sits atop the stem helping to keep your packed contents safe when floating your Ducky down the pool/bath.
TO USE
First step is to fill your Ducky with water by removing his head (easily unscrews). Please don’t overfill water should be high enough to cover the diffusion holes in the base of the stem.
- Chop or grind your herbal material (not too finely), remove lid and place product within the mesh. Replace the lid if not using immediately.
- Remove lid to light, Cover the carb hole as you light and then remove your finger as you inhale. Or use whatever method suits you.
TO CLEAN
A very easy device to clean. The removable head enables you to easily get inside. There are a variety of methods you can use to effectively clean silicone. The easiest method is of course the humble dishwasher. If using this method, I recommend breaking down your Ducky into its individual components, including removing the mesh from the stem before placing all pieces within the machine (ensure they don’t fly around and are secure).
You can also use a solution of Isopropyl Alcohol (at least 70% grade) or vinegar. You will need to soak your Duckys components for a period of time before rinsing thoroughly. Any stubborn stains can be scrubbed away with extra alcohol/vinegar. Rinse, rinse and rinse again. Then let dry and reassemble. One further option to consider is freezing your Ducky then bend and manipulate the silicone body to release the gunk.
