Ongrok was first introduced to me via one of my helpful staff members, she was particularly excited when I arrived one morning, and we then spent the day ogling their catalogue. I have since gone a little crazy and pretty much ordered their entire line-up for my shelves and to say I was excited when the boxes arrived is a slight understatement!
Designed in North America (AKA Canada) with what I would describe as a modern minimalistic flair. High quality materials are their go to; natural hardwoods, aircraft-grade aluminium as well as eco-friendly materials. Products that are sleek as well as discrete, a range designed with lifestyle in mind.
As for the name? Comes from the work “Grok”, a term used in Robert Heinlein’s novel – Stranger in a Strange Land. Definition? To understand something deeply, intuitively or by empathy. Which is exactly the philosophy Ongrok stands by!
FEATURES
My range of Ongrok storage options is all encompassing, covering as many individual needs as I can think of. Other options in the range are made from super durable aluminium and you cannot view within unless they are open. This is their glass version of storage jars. Almost 100% borosilicate glass is used (not the lid) and not just any old glass but UV-resistant frosted glass. Almost all visible light is effectively blocked. This is quite an important feature that elevates these jars above similar glass options on the market. Herbal medicine is heavily impacted (potency/aroma) by light as well as air.
TIP: These jars can hold up to 500ml of fluid or 45g of material!
Each jar is airtight, and a child-resistant lid is provided. Airtight means that you have a good level of odour control, conserving the flavour and potency of your herbal material. I personally also believe that it is quite important to stow away your medicinal marijuana as safely as you can, children should not be able to access it.
TIP: You will need to push down as you unthread the lid to bypass the child-resistant lid.
3 colour coded rings are provided (2 per – 6 in total), these slip onto the glass just beneath the lid. Why? For organisation of course! Use a different colour for various strains or to keep track of your usage. Lastly, you will also receive x2 chalkboard labels (stickers) for an added layer of order if that’s how you like to do things.
