Ongrok was first introduced to me via one of my helpful staff members, she was particularly excited when I arrived one morning, and we then spent the day ogling their catalogue. I have since gone a little crazy and pretty much ordered their entire line-up for my shelves and to say I was excited when the boxes arrived is a slight understatement!
Designed in North America (AKA Canada) with what I would describe as a modern minimalistic flair. High quality materials are their go to; natural hardwoods, aircraft-grade aluminium as well as eco-friendly materials. Products that are sleek as well as discrete, a range designed with lifestyle in mind.
As for the name? Comes from the work “Grok”, a term used in Robert Heinlein’s novel – Stranger in a Strange Land. Definition? To understand something deeply, intuitively or by empathy. Which is exactly the philosophy Ongrok stands by!
FEATURES
Storage tubes are almost always underestimated (IMHO) until you actually start using one. This is a deceptively simple product made completely from anodized, aircraft-grade aluminium making this tube very durable and lightweight. Pretty much indestructible. A slim tube that will fit almost everywhere and should hold either one king sized cone, 2 smaller cones (1 ¼ size) or even loose herbal material. Looks wise, these tubes have a sleek, matte metallic finish that will not show fingerprints.
Measuring: 120mm in total length (including the removable cap). 16.5mm wide.
There are 2 caps on this tube, top and bottom. Each is a little different from the other. The Diamond Knurled (pyramid pattern) top cap pops on/off for ease of entry. This top cap comes with 2 o-rings in place to create the airtight, double friction seal that keeps odours locked within. 3 extra replacement o-rings are provided too. The bottom cap is threaded allowing you to unscrew it whenever you want complete access to the interior.
