There aren’t many 420 lovers who have not heard of the PuffCo Peak, a water filtration electronic dabbing (herbal concentrates) vaporiser. It took the market by storm upon release and still holds its own amongst the myriad of vapes on the market today. I own a PuffCo and have thoroughly enjoyed using it. Each and every part of the PuffCo is built to the highest standards but a sad fact about almost all vaporisers is the need to replace parts from time to time, either due to breakage or the wear and tear of frequent use. There are 4 main parts that are easily replaceable with the PuffCo Peak; the glass, ceramic bowl, tethered carb cap or the atomiser.
So why does one need a carb cap to dab? A carb cap is a dabbing accessory that is crucial if you want to enjoy low temperature dabbing. They are used to cover the opening of your banger/atomiser once you have placed a dab of concentrate within (and heating has initiated). The carb cap works to trap the heat and helps to provide true convection as your concentrate vaporises. In a nutshell, carb caps help to up the vapour, smoothness and flavour content of your concentrates.
The Peak Ball Cap is made from hand blown borosilicate glass and is designed to create a directional airflow effectively allowing you to use up every last drop of your precious concentrate. As opposed to the Peak Carb Cap and Tether, the Ball Cap is more bulbous in shape allowing you to “steer” it all around the interior of the ceramic bowl. Those of you that already dab may agree with me that a carb cap can easily go walk about and the inclusion of a simple tether is brilliant! The tether attaches to the base of the atomiser via a band.
TIP: The Ball Cap is said to produce substantially more vapour, so get ready!
