LET’S DISCUSS ASH CATCHERS
A fairly basic premise that will elevate your smoking/vaping experience to another level. A vast amount of my customers ask me about the best methods to clean their glassware and I will be honest, I am a little shocked by how many underestimate the value of hygiene. Not just for the obvious reasons but also for purity of flavour.
Ash catchers attach directly to the down stem of a water bubbler and your bowl/cone piece then attaches directly to the ash catcher. Think of an ash catcher as a kind of in-between plug that acts as a filter. Its main role is to dramatically decrease the amount of resin, gunk and ash landing in the water chamber ultimately keeping your glass and water cleaner for longer. Less cleaning and less maintenance will be required overall. An indispensable accessory for my lazy customers out there or for my connoisseurs who appreciate the finer experiences in life.
TIP: The more intricate the percolation set up within your bubbler the more indispensable this accessory will be.
Before you purchase an ash catcher you should be certain of the following to not waste your time and money. Most ash catchers are on the larger side and will require room so as not to butt up against your glass piece.
- Joint (connection) size of your down stem
- Angle of the down stem (very important)
- Is the connection male or female?
- Port (connection) size of your bowl/cone
- Is the port male or female?
- Weight of your glass (ash catcher may cause it to topple)
- Is the base of your bubbler sturdy?
- Do you want to use one dry or with water added?
TIP: This ash catcher can be used either wet or dry. Add water if your bubbler is basic with minimal percolation within and use dry if you have an intricate glass piece to lessen drag.

Made entirely from durable heat-resistant borosilicate glass with a deep reservoir at the base for ash capture. Both ports are frosted for a tight fit (one internally and one externally). The side arm curves down and sits at a 90° angle, culminating in a 14mm male joint. Your male bowl will sit upon the very top slotting into the 14mm female joint. This is an ash catcher designed for extreme diffusion with the 5-arm tree perc taking one large smoke bubble and breaking it down into a vast multitude of smaller bubbles. More bubbles = more filtration. More filtration = a cleaner and more comfortable experience. If you also happen to have a diffusion down stem within your water pipe you will effectively be filtering your smoke twice.
