They appear to have been around for quite some time now and house over 1000 different products at their facility in North Carolina. Consummate vapers and smokers, they love to innovate and create products that exceed expectations.
CHILLUM?
A Chillum is a pipe, a handheld water-less glass pipe. Chillums have quite a long history, with their usage going back to Pre-Columbian American and beyond. Many believe they were first used by Hindu Monks in India. The design is pretty standard with a glass straight tube design and they are sometimes considered a “straight shot pipe’ due to their intense effects. One end of the tube houses the bowl whilst the other end will feature the mouthpiece. Chillum pipes are a great option for those that like to travel about and/or would like a easy-to-use daily pipe. Not a pipe that I would recommend for beginners.
The Pulsar Ash Catcher Chillum is a slightly different take on a standard chillum. The middle tube is not completely straight with a flared out portion that sits close to the bowl end. This is the Ash Catcher portion. Look closely within and you will see an inner tube with 4 slits, 2 on each side. Smoke will pass through the bowl into the flared chamber whereby it will need to push itself through one of these 4 slits/opening before the smoke can travel up towards your mouth. This action will capture ash prior to you inhaling it whilst also cooling down the smoke. Any restrictions that are placed in smoke’s way will ultimately cool the smoke.
This Chillum is quite durable, made from borosilicate glass and will fit easily in the hand. The bowl is on the larger side with deep walls and the mouthpiece has a widened and flat base. The colour accents are located around the bowl as well as the mouthpiece tube. The ash catcher portion is clear.
