I have stocked Pulsar for a while now but only their herbal vaporisers. They appear to have been around for quite some time now and house over 1000 different products at their facility in North Carolina. Consumate vapers and smokers, they love to innovate and create products that exceed expectations. This is my third foray into their glassware and decided to go for something on the smaller side.
Called a fishbowl as this tiny little bubbler is shaped to resemble a fishbowl. Would need to find some incredibly minute fish to fit inside! Small enough to fit completely within your palm this is technically a one hitter with the added benefit of water filtration for smoother hits. A fixed down stem sits within ready to filter and smooth out your smoke. The cone and down stem are an all-in-one design, and neither can be removed. The mouthpiece sits on the opposite side to the cone bowl with the carb located smack bang between them both.
Pulsar has designed this piece to be quite roomy with ample room for filtration and percolation to occur. They have also focused on making the bubbler spill-proof when laid on its side, I would just recommend not overfilling in this case.
PRE-ROLLS OR PACKED CONES
A dual use bubbler in regard to the fact that you are able to either pack the bowl with herbal material (as per standard bubblers) or you can insert a pre-rolled creation of your choice directly into the bowl.
TIP: The hole at the base of the cone is on the wider side and if you like a particularly intense inhale I would recommend inserting a screen (check out the smojo screen).
First step is the water. Remember not to overfill and I would do a practice inhale before packing the bowl to see if any water splashes up and out onto your lips.
Now time to pack the bowl, I would recommend that you hold the bubbler in an upright position. If inserting a pre-rolled ensure that it is held in place firmly.
Once packed you are ready to light. Hold the mouthpiece portion to your mouth and light the bowl/pre-rolled whilst inhaling. Use the carb as needed.
Isopropyl Alcohol should be in the cleaning kit of all glassware/pipe owners. It works particularly well at dissolving resins and any built-up gunk. Alternatively, I would recommend you check out Resremover Pipe Cleaner.
