My in-store collection of books regarding CBD and its medicinal effects is constantly growing. The usage if CBD oil as a medicine is a conversation that I have daily (multiple times!), popularity is growing rapidly whilst stereotypes/cliches are being broken. This week in Australia is the first week that CBD oil (150mg max per day with less than 1% THC content) be purchased directly through a pharmacy without a prescription. This is a good start but there is still a long way to go for easy access to a highly effective medicine to be achieved.
Hence the reason for stocking this book. I want to provide my customers with easy-to-read books written in unbiased ways by trusted professionals. This is a book written and crafted in such a way to change mindsets. The most common misconceptions are addressed, kind of what I try to do each day at work!
SO WHO ARE THE 2 AUTHORS?
Aliza Sherman – a pretty impressive woman in my eyes with many achievements under her belt. CEO of Ellementa, a women’s health company focused on Cannabis and CBD as well as being the Publisher of HerCannaLife.com, a website showcasing women in the cannabis industry. She is also the author of 12 books, one of which is this very book that I am writing about! I could go on and on with her many accolades but then this write up would become a problem.
Dr. Junella Chin – an advocate for better understanding of the science and medicine of cannabis. Her medical focus is on the endocannabinoid system within the human body. Since 2001 Dr Chin and her team of physicians have consulted with patients from all over the world. She is rather well known and has been featured in a vast array of media (print and television). Her love of CBD is personal as she was hospitalised as a teenager with a debilitating condition that was well treated by a “mystery” oil after other treatments failed. This oil was in fact CBD.
Both these formidable women got together to produce this book to provide an easy-to-use guide to safely utilise CBD (and THC) to relieve chronic and acute health issues such as pain, insomnia, inflammation, grief, depression, anxiety, stress plus more. They start at the basics (history of the plant) and include information on the following;
- Endocannabinoid system
- Forms of ingestion/application
- Smoking and vaping
- Acute Care
- Chronic Care
- Cannabis and the mind
- Plus so much more
x1 very informative and beautifully illustrated, interesting and informative book titled Cannabis and CBD for Health and Wellness by Aliza Sherman and Dr. Junella Chic
