Dab mats are only effective if they are made from materials that can withstand excessive amounts of prolonged heat.
This particular dab mat is on the medium to largish size and is made from a mixture of woven fibreglass and silicone. These 2 materials make this mat very durable and able to withstand temperatures of 450° f or 232° c. Lay this mat on a surface and then place all your dabbing paraphernalia upon its surface. Your tools will stay where you place them.
The mat gets dirty? Easy. Place it within your dishwasher (I would rub off any obvious globules of oil first) or wash with warm soapy water. You can scrub this mat if needed.
