Grav, hands down are the masters of glass, scientific producers of glass if you will. A global reputation that is hard to surpass. Built to last, highly functional and as gorgeous as glass can get. Those in the know only and always use Grav glass. When Grav makes a water pipe/dab rig they know what they are doing. Built strong for a smooth and easy session. Oh, and so they don’t break easily either. Beautiful enough to display anywhere in your home, if that’s how you do things. SIP SERIES
Grav likes to make groups of products that are based around a central theme. In this case Grav has developed their “Sip Series” of glass bubblers. In case the name doesn’t give it away I guess they are referring to a variety of drinking vessels. The Slush Cup has been designed by the infamous glass artist Micah Evans. I checked out his site and he can do some pretty impressive things with glass. You should have a look too, he is amazing.
TIP: This is the blue glass version, completely blue but you can see within. The glass has been reinforced for added durability.
The Grav Slush Cup looks exactly the same as a slush cup you would buy in a store, except it is smaller and is made from glass of course! The base is round and is the narrowest point of this bubbler and then widens out to form a replica of a slush cup. This bubbler is small, fitting nicely within my palm. The bowl is small too, cup-style with a 10mm connection. The bowl sits right upon the very top linking to the fixed vertical down stem via a flush Dewar Seal Joint. A diffusion down stem with 2 opening at the end to break up your smoke.
Measuring: 8cms without the bowl in place
A “straw” juts out to the side of the cup and is perfectly angled to help prevent any splashing of water into your mouth during even the most intense inhalations. A fairly thick and durable straw that should withstand daily wear and tear, keeping in mind that this is a glass piece that should be handled with some level of care. In my estimation the straw protrusion is probably the weakest point of this bubbler and I wouldn’t carry it around using the straw as a handle.
