One must never underestimate the benefits of appropriate storage for your medicinal herbs. What do I mean by appropriate? Light and air will impact on the potency/freshness/efficacy of your herbal material directly impacting on the medicinal value. Odour control is another important feature offered by most of the storage containers that we stock, including this one. Raw has gone one better with this kit. There are technically 3 parts; a glass mason jar, an odour proof cozy and a combination lock. This is the Medium 10oz version.
Measuring: Jar height: 8cms without lid and 7cms at its widest point.
The jar is a pretty standard thick-glass mason jar. Kind of like a fancy jam jar that comes with a screw on lid (Raw branded). Mason jars offer a certain level of odour control and do keep out most of the air but not perfectly. I would not call them lightproof at all! The included cozy is basically a case for the jar. A circular and zippered case that snugly holds the jar in complete darkness eliminating any damaging UV light. 5 layers of various materials have been used in the cozy to keep all the odour trapped within, even the zippers play a role. The extra padding will also help protect the glass within from breakage. Lastly a combination lock is given, set your own code for an added layer of security.
