THE BUTTERFLY
Medicinal Marijuana oil cartridges are now available on prescription in Australia and for these you will require a 510 threaded battery stick of sorts. This is definitely one such battery. 510 threaded batteries come in many styles, ranging from simple pen styles and ones that are shaped exactly like an old fashioned pipe. Some require you to thread the cartridge directly onto a connector (510 connection) whilst other’s are the “drop-in” style that may require a magnetic connector. Both styles have pros and cons associated with them.The Butterfly is rather unique as it offers benefits from both styles; enabling you to directly thread your cartridge whilst also providing protective housing.
TIP: Is engineered specifically for CCELL Cartridges but it should hold almost all 510 threaded cartridges (0.5ml and 1ml). Extremely “fat” cartridges may pose a problem.
Don’t imagine an insect, instead think of a form of knife. A butterfly knife is a pocket tool with dual arms that fan out for use or flip closed. When closed both arms conceal the contents. This 510 threaded battery follows the same idea but with a cartridge secreted within instead of a blade. During inhalation you will need to have both arms open, extending downwards to form a handle. Finished? Flick the arms back up and slip the Butterfly into your pocket for the next time.

Made from Zinc Alloy and Anodized Housing, quite solid in the hand but not heavy. The voltage is adjustable offering you the ability to select a temperature from 3 settings – 3.2V, 3.4V and 3.7V. There is a button on the side that provides variable voltage and that you press to activate inhalation. Charging occurs USB-C and should take no longer than an hour and a half, with a battery capacity of 430mAh.
TIP: All good cartridge batteries should have variable voltage in my humble opinion as various extraction methods can result in thicker or runnier oils. I tend to recommend the lowest temperature/voltage possible for good vapour production/effect.
