Nami Glass is a new brand on my shelves. Not many products in their line up with the Ripple Line as their signature glassware. Nami was created to provide passionate connoisseurs modern and contemporary glass accessories by combining a unique aesthetic with thoughtful detail and material, Nami delivers a profound experience. The Ripple Line of glassware has been crafted to resemble soothing waves of the Ocean. Each piece (I currently sell 3) is very tactile with bands of bulging glass along the glass.
FEATURE
This is the Beaker of Ripple Lines with a Rig and Bubbler also on offer. The beaker is the taller of the 3, standing at 12″ tall (just over 30cms) and is made from durable borosilicate glass. Beaker are almost always tall with a wide water chamber, this enables larger hit along with extra filtration. The water chamber curves towards the base and then flattens out along the side. I’m butchering this description but I find this design quite appealing. The Nami logo (sandblasted) has been added to the side as well as the base of the chamber. Travel up towards the neck and you will find that there is no ice pinch. The neck is quite long and there are 4 ripples running up the neck. I find these ripples to be quite ergonomic as each of my 4 fingers slip into a groove/ripple. My hands are small though. At the very top is a slightly curved, flattened and reinforced mouthpiece.
Measuring: 12″ which is just over 30cms for my fellow Australians.
The downs stem provided is removable and diffusion in style. Diffusion down stems are open ended and contain a number of slits, 6 in this case. These opening help to break down a large smoke bubble into many smaller bubbles. More bubbles = more filtration and a smoother experience. This stem accepts a 14mm, male bowl/slide and of course one is provided. I really like the flower bowl, a little like a work of art. It is thick, curved and oversized. A dramatic bowl with an angle that flares out. This bowl is 14mm and male in gender.
