Ongrok was first introduced to me via one of my helpful staff members, she was particularly excited when I arrived one morning, and we then spent the day ogling their catalogue. Appropriate storage methods for medicinal marijuana is imperative helping to maintain the potency/efficacy of your herbal medication. A light proof plus airtight container should be your starting point but you can take it one level higher via the inclusion of humidity packs. These packs are little sachets that are placed directly into your storage jar along with the herbal material. 62% is the magic number in regard to cannabis storage, this number refers to the relative humidity (RH) that these packs help to maintain wherever they are held. They work via reverse osmosis and will work in 2 ways/directions. Cannabis kept at 62% RH will stay stay “fresher” for longer. Fresher in terms of not over drying or developing mould but most importantly to maintain flavour/terpenes. Once removed from its plastic sleeve a humidity pack will last up to 3 months. Keep it in its sealed bag and it will last up to 2 years.
