A personal air filter is a good way to keep the air around you cleaner, the air you exhale at least. Many of my customers use personal air filters as one part of their odour control arsenal and there are quite a few brands currently on the market. Almost all work in a similar fashion, absorbing and capturing odours within. Many of the newer ones on the market also now come with replaceable filters, just like this one. The internal carbon filter performs the magic.

A lightweight device made from a durable plastic shell, small enough to carry around. This revolver-style filter comes in 3 parts; silicone mouthpiece, body and removable filter. The mouthpiece is flat and has a silicone top with a contoured ovular opening. Your mouth lays flat upon this silicone and you exhale directly into the opening. Once inside the smoke/vapour will pass through the internal filter and smoke will be absorbed into the carbon layer within. Fresh air will be expelled from the very base. Depending on usage there will come a day when you will need to replace the filter as the carbon layer within will be exhausted and can absorb no more. Replacing the filter is very easy, simply unscew the mouthpiece and gently tap the filter out before slipping in a fresh one.
