This is definitely an ash catcher but not as you may know them. An ash catcher for connoisseurs that like to take it to another level. This is the 90° version and it also comes in a 45° option. It is important that you select the correct angle as this piece is quite large and you will need adequate clearance. I would also recommend a larger style water pipe with a flat base to keep it all upright. There are technically 3 parts in this Phoenix ash catcher, it is stemless and water is to be included within.
Measuring: Just under 14cms (uncapped). Almost 16cms (with cap). Just over 7cms at the widest point.
Quick 101, an ash catcher acts as a sort of in-between plug, separating a flower bowl from the down stem/water chamber of your water pipe. Its role is to help keep your water pipe cleaner for longer with the majority of gunk settling within the ash catcher. The addition of water will also add an extra layer of filtration/cooling of smoke, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable experience. The Phoenix is designed to allow you to add either water or actual chunks of ice (frozen water). The inner chamber is long and deep and will work best with 1.5″ of water. There is a lid/plug provided to keep the water in place. The 3rd part is a massive 14mm male flower bowl. A funnel bowl with a collar for safe handling.
